F. James Warmoth

James is a construction and business attorney with Kenison, Dudley and Crawford, LLC, where he represents clients from various segments of the construction industry in litigation and other dispute resolution, drafting and negotiating contracts, and other matters such as regulatory compliance. He also regularly represents businesses in general commercial matters involving contract issues and judgment collections. James is member of the South Carolina bar and the North Carolina bar.

James holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from The Citadel, a master’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech, and a J.D. from Wake Forest University, where he was a member of the Law Review and graduated cum laude and Order of the Coif.

In 2002, James began his engineering career, which included field engineering on the new Cooper River Bridge Project in Charleston and structural engineering for school and hospital projects around South Carolina. James obtained a professional engineering license in South Carolina and North Carolina (now retired/inactive).

In 2007, after having some exposure to construction litigation in his engineering work, James decided to become an attorney and began law school at Wake Forest University, where he was a member of the Law Review and graduated cum laude and Order of the Coif.

In 2010, directly after law school, James joined Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, a large law firm with a well-regarded construction practice group. After three years at the firm, he had developed expertise in representing subcontractors and suppliers to industrial construction projects, and, in 2013, started his own firm to focus on that work. In 2017, he joined Kenison, Dudley and Crawford, LLC, where he continues to be passionate about representing construction clients.

James and his wife Crystal have three boys and a dog. James and Crystal are involved at Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church and are avid Crossfitters. The boys attend Mitchell Road Christian Academy and enjoy soccer and many other outdoor activities.
